The Spirit of Place

These steps should be followed when moving into a new home! A question many people ask: How do we approach a new home to ward off evil and attract good? Energy science answers this question in the following steps.

1. Kind words... upon entering and upon leaving... Peace be upon you.

And the word of God, and staying away from bad speech such as insults and quarrels

2. Interior and exterior cleanliness... and ensuring the cleanliness of the house entrance from the main street... and wiping inside the house with water only and using fragrant scents while wiping

3. Warning against playing the Quran in the house before moving in

It is for protection... the Quran... not for playing in an abandoned or empty house

4. Salt should not be sprinkled, incense burned, an animal slaughtered and imprisoned, or food placed before moving into the house; these are offerings to demons.

5. Upon moving in for the first night, food should be prepared for the poor and needy, and people should be fed from the house's kitchen, not from a restaurant. Garbage should be disposed of late at night before going to sleep.

6. One should constantly thank God on the first day, recite some verses from the Quran for remembrance within the home, and pray that the home will be a place of goodness and blessings.
